Motorcycle road race in 2014.

Santa Claus driving bike on the 31st of December on streets of Riga... Most likely is a good sign for all motorcyclists - both road riders and high speed - "thirsty"motor riders. The new season has already started, for some of us the first few kilometers were driven on the track abroad ,but others are working on their motorcycle improvement at home.

In year 2014 Latvian Championship will include the traditional stages in Estonia, where among participants there are Scandinavian racers interested in thoroughly renovated Pärnu track.

Baltic Cup will retain its previous format with one test race in each country, which opens up the chances for fast and regular participants of the race.

Latvian racing series are planned to be started on the 25th May and the 1st June already, in Parnu. In collaboration with the Russian championship organizers we will have an opportunity to join a unique event - Nations Cup. Motor bike racing is one of the few motor sport disciplines where the emphasis has traditionally been placed on the individual results, only after on the team and on the producer of the bike. Of course, in the recent past there were both national (republic) and team (club) results, but changes in political and economic situation made these things to become less important. Russian organizers primarily are interested in high potential of Pärnu track. The national team competition has led to a genuine interest of Russia and Scandinavian countries, and their calendars are planned accordingly to this event. The race at the beginning of July in Pärnu is going to be tense as in addition to the national championship there will be the Finnish motor bike championship. Latvian motor bike race will culminate on August 17, the day before the Bikernieki track will be renewed and the world speedway championship will be over. All season long there will be scouter and retro motorcycle races "Zelta mopēds" at Biķernieki track, most of these races are held in Latvian karting tracks. Weekly training option, all season long, to anyone interested in motorcycle racing in safe and controlled environment, is offered by motor bike racing club "MOTOAPLIS".
