Latvian Championship in moto sport stage 4, 18.08.2013.
On Sunday 18.08.2013 at Biķernieki track, with a major race, has ended the Latvian championship stage 4. The stage high ratings indicate the fact that the race was included in the Estonian and Lithuanian National Championship. Championship organizer moto club ‘’Motoaplis'', has invited the best racers who showed intense battles in all classes. For the first time this season there were also races in Sidecar class.
In the fastest stage, Superbike class, a great race was showed by Andreijs Grīnbergs, who beat Estonian Hanno Veltu. In Rožkalns family battle, this time, Gary was faster, leaving his father Bruno Rožkalns at the fourth place.
In B1200 class, which is technically similar to the Superbike class, winning laurels plucked Lithuanian racer Nerijus Jegerskas, but the remaining places of the podium took Ilmars Rudzons and Māris Dankerts.
In Superstock 600 class Latvian racers did not participate and race fans were able to enjoy Lithuanian and Estonian racers in a duel throughout the race. The first trio was – Šarunas Pladas(Lithuania), Martins Partelpoeg(Estonia) and Danas Putra(Lithuania).
In B 600 class, which is slightly behind in terms of speed, the triumph was taken by racers from moto club'' Motoaplis’’ - Rolands Legzdiņš and Kalvis Logins.
In Sidecar race, predictably, the winner was the crew with the starting number 2 - Eero Parm and Mairon Meius and thereby taking a major step towards the Estonian Champion title. Interestingly, the Estonians in their national Sidecar class championship have not won a decade!
In C class, where participation took racers who are just starting their career in moto racing, remained unbeaten Andris Homenko, the second place taken by Normunds Lojāns and the third place byTomas Januska.
An interesting race was also in ‘’Motoaplis kauss’’ class, the race for those who participate in weekly ‘’Motoaplis’’ organized moto trainings, the first place was claimed by Māris Gžibovskis, second by Timurs Šiks and the third by Veniamins Kuzņecovs. Also a debut in this race was taken by Pauls Timrots, in addition to the work in media, he actively drives supermoto. Biķernieki race was also selected by Estonian Honda CBR500 monoclass members for their induction.
In accordance with the development in technology worldwide, moto club ''Motoaplis’’ gave the opportunity to follow the race results online for mobile phone user and thanks to aervideo filming, for the first time in moto racing at Biķernieki track, the racers will be able to watch the race once again on www.motoaplis.lv.
The remaining two stages of Latvian championship will take place in Estonia and Lithuania.
